Our top tips for a winning CV.

Tailor your CV to the job: Make sure that your CV is relevant to the specific job you're applying for by highlighting the skills and experiences that match the job requirements.

Keep it concise: Your CV should ideally be no longer than two to three pages. Keep your sentences short and to the point, and use bullet points to make your CV easy to read.

Use a professional font and layout: Stick to a simple and easy-to-read font such as Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman. Use a professional layout with plenty of white space to make your CV look clean and organised.

Highlight your achievements: Instead of just listing your job duties, focus on your accomplishments in each role. Use numbers and percentages to quantify your achievements and show how you added value.

Use keywords: Use relevant keywords and phrases from the job description throughout your CV to show that you have the skills and experience the employer is looking for.

Be specific: Instead of using vague language, be specific about your skills and experiences. For example, instead of saying "managed a team," say "managed a team of 10 employees and increased productivity by 25%."

Show your personality: Don't be afraid to let your personality shine through in your CV. Use language that reflects who you are and what makes you unique.

Include relevant hobbies and interests: If you have hobbies or interests that are relevant to the job, include them in your CV. For example, if you're applying for a job in marketing and you run a successful blog, include that in your CV.

Check for errors: Before you submit your CV, make sure you check it for errors. Use spell check, Grammarly, and have someone else proofread it to catch any mistakes you may have missed.

Update your CV regularly: Keep your CV up-to-date with your latest skills and experiences. Update it every few months so that it's always ready to go when a new opportunity arises.
